Hi everyBody , My brother recently upgraded his system to a P4 630 (800MHz FSB & 2Mb Cache) + Asus mobo with nForce 4 SLI chipset ...
The problem is CPU temp ... I dont know anything about P4 temps , so maybe you can help me... the full temp is between 58~65 on stock CPU fan ...
so is this so high & we should change the stock fan or there is nothing to be worried about ??
please help ... :(
and one more thing is his CPU is not overclocked (stock 3000MHz speed) & he wont overclock his CPU ...

My 630 is at 33C as I'm writting this and never breakes 48C while gaming and benchmarking. I'm using the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 w/ AS5. The stock Intel HS/F was the loudest fan in my case and the pre-applied thermal paste was way too thick.

Well, it's a Prescott, those temps are a wee bit high but don't be alarmed unless you run into BSODs, lockups and spontaneous shutdowns.

No need to get an aftermarket cooling system unless he is going to overclock (you said he won't anyway) or wants a more silent cooling system.

From your sig: AMD Athlon™ 64 3K+ (Venice) 1.8GHz ( OC To 2.16GHz  ) ; Cooling With AKASA EVO33
MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum Edition
Leadtek® WinFast PX7800 GT ( OC To 450MHz/1.1GHz )

Just to let you know that my venice 3000+ is OCed to 2.3 Ghz with STOCK cooling.. so there is nothing that will impress in that signature line...
