Missing Icons on desktop

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics (More info?)

Google "TweakUI" and install it from Microsoft. It has a handy "Repair
Icons" feature plus many others.
When you do a disk cleanup, uncheck the box "Offline web pages" and that
should keep them intact - if some of them are links to outside sites.
