it should be possible since your computer should come with a 16x PCIe slot.

personally I would use a 450W power supply

The Foxconn Alvorix motherboard in the HP Pavilion p6710f has a single PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot so it will handle the AMD Radeon HD 6450 with no problems.

The HP Pavilion p6710f's chassis is a standard ATX form factor design so an ATX form factor power supply unit will fit.

AMD recommends a minimum of a 400 Watt or greater system power supply for the Radeon HD 6450. I would also recommend that the power supply have a minimum +12 Volt DC continuous output current rating of 22 Amps on the combined +12 Volt rails.

That CPU probably will handle any single-GPU graphics card just fine.

Basically, the more expensive a card you get the better games will play.

Read the latest Tomshardware graphics recommendations and get a graphics card in your price range, then buy a PSU that is good enough.

For a little more than $300 the following would be a HUGE upgrade:
1) Asus GTX 560 Ti DCII
2) 650W PSU (antec, corsair.. read reviews/comments)

*Make sure the components fit inside the case properly. I ALSO recommend spending about $40 on a better heatsink/fan for your CPU.
