case:Antec LifeStyle SONATA II Piano Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450Watt SmartPower 2.0 ATX 12V V2.0 - $94.99
optical etc: i've got some stuff to spare from old inc. monitor speakers etc.
total:$863.95 (prices based on newegg.com)

Well, i planned this out from comments around the net including this site for like a week now so I want to see your comments on how i could still improve this setup, oh and about the case, do you think it's a good idea to have the psu included in the case, heard people's comments bout havin a separate psu instead is better. oh and i wont probably upgrade(probably only for dx10) since im not much of a hardcore gamer, can play medium settings at least(note the x1800xt). thanks :)

Why would you build a non upgradeable socket 939 computer when you can go with a AM2 system with DDR2-800 for the same money or less?

Splendid
If I was going to be doing a new build, I would go AM2. Its just starting it life and will have plenty of upgrades and refinements in the future. To build a computer with socket 939 is just shooting yourself in the foot. Yes, there will be some upgrades that you can do, but it won't get better than what's already there, as 939 is a dying technology.

The case's PSU is probably good enough. A separate PSU is only better if the normal case PSU is a cheapy to start with. I'd change the ram to a single 1 gig stick like a Corsair CMX1024 3200C2PT ($102. Newegg) or an OZC Titanium OCZ4001024ELTE ($98.99 newegg). This would give you faster timing and a better upgrade path by adding another 1 gig stick in the future.
