It's basically two 7900GTs on one PCI-E board. So it's like SLI, and SLI doesn't provide consistent improvements. It's a nice card, but I don't see the point of it with next-gen cards coming out soon.

agreed i count it as 2 cards since its dual GPU...

"However, a recent technology review conducted by X-bit labs discovered that the technology may not provide absolutely fastest performance even in 2560x1600 resolution, where GeForce 7900 quad SLI lost to the Radeon X1900 XT CrossFire setup, and also suffers from driver problems.

Current quad SLI solutions use pretty bulky GeForce 7900 GX2 graphics cards that do not fit into the majority of computer cases"

oh snap shot down again fanboy

I would tend to agree but would reserve judgment until we have some benches :-D

True, but I expect it do perform about same as two 7900GTs in SLI.

2 in 1 for the win!
=p
*pulls out the horns and slowly plays to the salute gun fire shots in memory of ati*

Uh.. right.

823 dollars for two graphic cards, when 4 can't beat a x1900xtx crossfire setup? Damn, that's a stupid idea.

Single 7900GT can surely last until DX10 cards. DX10 cards should come out after Vista.

But it only uses one PCI-E slot you ****** ****.....so count again

yes but its 2 chips on that 1 board u tard, funny that it SLI them (a quad GPU) is getting beat by a Crossfire 1900 (2 gpu)

That doesnt have anything to do with the agument you butt-dart, the card fits in one single pci-e slot, so it is considered to be a single card.

We'll have to wait and see :-D

Since the 2 GPUs share the same board if they used a better interconnect we might be pleasantly surprised, then again maybe not.
