I will buy the Core 2 Duo E6600, whenever it will be avabile. The supported motherboars will be new versions of 975X and the new P965 chipset. I think both chipsets supports DDR2, PC4300,5400 and 6400.

Are there any big difference between 975X and 965?

Will I see any significant performace gain using PC6400 instead of PC4300 in gaming, CAM etc?

It isn't only the speed that is confusing, there are also many types of memory, for example

Corsair Twin2X PC6400 DDR2 Pro
Corsair Twin2X PC6400 DDR2

The PRO is about 50$ more expensive, is it worth it?
Iin some reviews I've read that the Pro version is better for overclock, but will I ever see a significant performance gain for those 50$ when overclocking the FSB?

Am I right that the PC6400 has a speed of 200MHz? How much higher will I reach if I try to overclock without any failures?

I don't have details on the differences between the 975 and 965 chipsets yet. You will see a huge drop in loading times between pc2 4300 and pc2 6400, 6400 being the better type. The pro version of the ram you speak of probably has lower timings, meaning you'll be able to have lower timings at whatever overclock you want with the pro version over the regular version. As always.... the lower the timings, the better.
