I may have gotten a lucky cpu or something, but it came with my old sony so i tested it. It runs on a 2.66 northwood, no overclocking sadly. I got 38 secs on the 32m test, which is plently faster than a 2.8p4 some guy posted at 53 secs. Wow, im shocked. Is this normal, or am i testing it wrong?

38 seconds is nowhere near normal for the 32M test. I'm running a 3800X2 at 2.7GHz and it only gets me 29 minutes. Perhaps you picked the wrong test, superpi is bugged or worse yet, your processor is incorrectly calculating the figure.

38 seconds is much more likely to be the 1M test which I can match. I get 32.062 seconds.

You should have about 38 minutes on the 32M test. Make sure you are running the correct test.

The current world record for SuperPi_32M is just over 11 Minutes with an overclocked Core 2 Extreme.

You're testing it wrong; 38 seconds on the 32m test would make your northwood faster than a Conroe at 10GHz.

I am running my rig at 2.7GHz now:) It can overclock more than 2.8, but I will need some better RAM.

have a look at the pic u posted above... wot i see in the pic is (279.9 X 10.0) = 2799 MHz = 2.8 GHz???

Yes, but I am not running my system at 2.8GHz it needs 1.55v and the fan is too loud. At 2.7GHz it runs on 1.5v stable. The SuperPi 1M record on this rig I achieved at 2.8GHz.

As Richpls said"You Party Poopers!"
