Does anyone know if the optical drive pinout on a laptop CD-ROM drive is pin-compatible with IDE, or at least a desktop CD-ROM drive? I was just wondering if it were possible to hook up an external CD-ROM drive through that port rather than going through USB (providing my own power, of course).
