Hi FS experts,

I have for many years been running AMD-based PC's but got an offer...

1. Do you see any problems running FS9 on a PC based on an
Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 830 DualCore processor?
2. And will it still be able to support other applications and hardware?
3. What limitations can I expect?

I know that FS9 only will take advantage of one of the cores but still
FS10 may soon be around - and who knows?

Intel says about this processor:
Intel® EM64T requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS,
operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel
EM64T. Processor will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without
an Intel EM64T-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your
hardware and software configurations. See
www.intel.com/technology/64bitextensions/ for more information including
details on which processors support Intel EM64T or consult with your
system vendor for more information.

Best regards,
Klaus

I'm running an 830 DualCore Dell with 2gb of ram and a ATI RADEON X850 XT
Platinum Edition 256mb video card and run FS9 at full everything with 38
mesh terrain and 9 mesh where available. Fly mostly low level VFR and
love it.
Please note that the video card will have a lot to do with how any system
will handle any program.
