Ok new to overclocking have a asus a8n32-sli deluxe mobo have amd 4200+ 64x2 running thermaltake bigwater water cooling running 1280 sdram 400mhz nvidia 7900 gtx 512 video card a 300 sata and a 250 sata hdd Now i want to overclock my machine, on ai nos 1% after running under as much stress as I can give it runs at 38-40c on the cpu and 35-37c on the mobo. My question is how high can I go? and what temps are OK? Last and most important question is where to start? my mobo has many options for OCing .Do I need to jumper or can i go jumper free??? Someone help me this is first overclock and need advice before i start.

hi, i have also 4200+ on a gigabyte board running on stock cooling, where i can run it from 2.2ghz to 2.4ghz without problem by just increase the Mhz from 200 to 219 and the system runs fine and stable. Temp stays around 46Degree as winter here. Good luck on Ocing. hightest i run on stock cooling is 2.5 with lower multiplier and ratio.
