aSROCK dual sata | Dual Channel question

OK ive read conflicting views in several differant places ad a seacrch here just brought up 988 matches that were not relevant in the slightest.

Is it possible for me to run in dual channel with 4x512 ddr, I can't afford to shell for 2x1gb at once

As long as you have the same chips it will be fine, You'll probably see 4 ram slots, 2 are one color and 2 are another, those are 2 sperate channels, if you only use 2 ram sticks you would plug 1 into each color, if you use 4, just fill it up. This means that the 2 ram sticks on one color are channel A and the 2 ram sticks on the other color is channel B.
