-Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS with 256MB

-Radeon X1400 Hyper Memory with 256MB

I have picked two notebooks; one with the nvidia card and the other with the radeon. The nvidia system is around $1750(Dell E1705). The radeon system is around $1500(Dell E1505). The only difference between the two systems are the graphics cards and the size of the laptop.

My question is, will the Nvidia system be that much better than the radeon? Also, is the Radeon card capable of playing the latest games with little trouble.

The nVidia system is much better.

The GF7900GS is SOOOOOOOOooooo worth the extra money.

Also the 1705 is 17" and the 1505 is 15".

Easy choice. For the extremely few reasons where the X1400 would be better I don't think it will make a difference on a laptop IMO, and especially not in a gaming capacity.

I kinda hate D3LL but the 1705 is a pretty good deal (similar to the old 9300/9400 in that respect).

Consider the following:

The Go 7900 is based off of nvidia's top of the line Gefore 7900 GPU.

The X1400 is based off of ATI's budget GPU, the X1300.

You decide.
