3800+ overclocking, where to now?

I'm using a 3800+ with stock cooling. Default clock speed is 200*12 for 2.4GHz

I've overclocked to 2.606GHz now and it seems stable at 11 * 237

Any higher, and i'm experiencing some crashing, although it passes a SuperPI calculation and Prime95 Benchmark.

WHere to from here? Have i reached a limit, or will changing voltage(or anything else) do anything? All I have changed is the multiplier and FSB.

Thanks again.

changing voltage will increase stability but contributes to extra heat. also remember to set pci/agp bus to 33/66mhz or your oc will be a disaster. lower ht multiplier to 3 when going above 300fsb and set the ram divider 1 level lower than stock setting so that memory wont be a factor in overclocking. What is left is your motherboard, cpu, and powersupply. lol u dont oc a psu but a good quality one is recommended. Depending on your mobo, your oc could differ since some mobos crap out well before the 300 mark. To increase stability just raise vcore by small incriments everytime the system becomes unstable or crashes and retest. good luck

I have a M2N32-SLI Deluxe. (Do you want a complete CPUZ report?) and my PSU is a 600W FSP Epsilon.

And th extra heat, how much, and how much is a safe amount? my CPU is at 52C right now.

i assume thats the msi, cheapest am2 board out there. naw i dont need the cpuz. 52c is the max you want. 60c is nono even though it's within thermal guidelines. you may want consider a better hsf. also test your overclocks for 12-24 hours with prime 95 or folding @ home to ensure stability. ocing is long and tedious but pays off in the end (there is always a luck factor in the end)

First off if you have the N4-32 chip.....it makes the whole system slower as it trys to run at 2 X's 16 by cutting bandwith in half.

Sorry if this is not your MB chipset as I do not know the MB your talking about and in too much pain to google it.
Off to the back Doctor I go right now.

My chipset is the nVidia C51XE.

And i'm about to try what illicitsc said. I have Speedfan and Everest to moniter tempratures.

Can i keep Prime95 running in the background whilst doing other things?

Ok...i can't find any of that in my BIOS. What does it appear as/under?

ram configs are found in cpu configuration if u have and award bios that is. the cpu clock settings / vcore/ vdimm /agp/pci buses are located in the jumper free settings

i dont know about his, but ive just bought the same mobo, an asus m2n32-sli deluxe and this came with wifi built in. However it did say on it that there is the option to not get the wifi attached and have 2 extra usb ports instead.

I've set PICe_1 to 100MHz (I beleive that means PCI bus is 33MHz?)

Will i need to change the other one as well? (THere is nto a gfx card in it)

My temps are around 52C idle and 61C under load. I'm thinking that is too high. Have i reached a (safe) limit with the current heatsink?

NO the pcie is not the pci bus.
keep the pcie at 100mhz
find your agp/pci lock !!!!! or use clock gen and oc and see if the pci bus moves. if it doesnt then its auto locked, if it does move dont oc until u can find the lock. ocing the pci bus makes your comp very unstable
