In XP, why are custom sized forms created in the Printers&Faxes>Server
Properties window not recognized? I and others have observed that we
can set up a new form size via the recommended steps (reproduced at the
end of this post) yet the new form size does not show up as a choice in
the Printer Preferences Advanced tab. In fact, I have 4 printers
connected to my workstation, two Epsons via USB, one HP via LPT1, and
one HP via a networked connection. EVERY printer shows a different set
of form sizes, therefore there must be some extra step required to
force the printers to recognize and use the forms shown in the Server
Properties table.

As a follow-up question, assuming I can get the printer to recognize
the custom forms, how can I delete unwanted form sizes? I certainly
don't need the Japanese Postcard form, yet there is no delete option.

Here are the standard steps for creating a custom form:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Click on Start, Control Panel, Printers & Faxes
Click on File, Server Properties.
On the Forms tab, select the Create A New Form check box.
Enter the size settings for the new form then Save under a new name.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks for your assistance!
