Is there any differenve between a EPS 12v psu and a ATX 12v psu ? I have this one. http://www.pcpowercooling.com/products/viewproduct.php?show=S47D&view=techspecs
PcPowerandCooling said this shpould be plenty to run my x1900 xtx at 26 amps 12v rail cause I only have 2 hard drives. Well as you know x1900 xtx says 30 amps on 12volt rail but the old fully loaded system statment. Well Have lastest drivers for it and it's running choppy play'n FEAR. Seems like I'm short on power. So I found this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103478

http://www.sparklepower.com/pdf/FSP550-60PLG.pdf
But it says it's an EPS 12v ??? If you look at pictures on newegg connectors and colors look corect. Any thoughts? Contacted tech support at sparkle, he said he'd email me connector specs, ie: voltages on eah pin but nothing yet.

it doesnt matter, dell sells propriatary PSU's open ur PC up and see how ur mobo gets power if its just the standard 24 pin then any ATX PSU will support ur PC, if its not its like like 2 different plugs like this:

if its liek the picture above, its a propriatary PSU, u will need to get a new one from dell or PC P&C, or get a converter, dunno where they sold them.

EPS12v is like ATX12v, but has a 24-pin connector. You can use a 24-pin to 20-pin adapter if needed. The first 20-pins are the same as ATX, so an alternative for some builds is to leave the extra four pins hanging out past the jack.

Newegg does sell 24 to 20-pin adapters, and they are cheap.

I'm assuming you have something newer than a PIII, Dell quit using the power supply Pengwin refered to when they switched to P4's.
