GF 6 & 7 Series

What is the difference between the Geforce 6 and 7 series :?:

Some 7 series cards are cheaper.

Geforce 7 series is newer and generally better.

A 7-series card isn't guaranteed to be better than a 6-series card: for example, a 6800 is much better than a 7300.

Numbers that end from 100-500 are low end parts, 600-700 are medium end, and 800-950 are high end parts.

In the 6x00 generation, the 6800 Ultra was the best card available.

Now we are in the 7x00 generation, and the 7900 GTX is the best card available.

The 7600 GT is a mid-range card, but because it is newer tech it is about as good as the 6800 Ultra.

The low-end 7x00 series cards aren't nearly as good as high-end 6x00 series cards, for example the 7300 GT is not nearly as good as, say, a 6800 GS.
