More Information

Pentium D 805 2.66 dual core
1 gig corsair 800mhz ram (the good stuff:P)
36.7 WD Raptor
7900 GT

I want to O/C the chip but when i go into the BIOS i have no control over the FSB and Memory speed, ive seen the screenshots in the guide to O/C to 4.1 and they have the options to change these but i do not. all i have is an option to like O/C by 10%/20% etc which i dont like.

is it a simple matter of updating/changing BIOS versions? or is there a way to unlock something in BIOS. i cant take a look at the BIOS version at this moment in time but i know its different to the guide one.

i dont like messing around with the BIOS which is why i wont try unless im told its the only way.

thx in advance

ps just noticed the guide uses the P5WD2-E not the P5WD2 is this the difference?

its in Bios just look harder! i forgot whats menu its under tho....

you have to select manual mode for ocing. or you can get asus to do it for you by % wise etc

i have the latest bios.... you must have that latest bios to get dual core running on this MB anyway. So its not like you have an old bios version!
