A friend of mine tried to install CoD:UO on his system, but it said something bout his windows like ''needs XP to run'' or something like it. Why is that?

PS: he has Windows XP Professional X64, and soon am I.

did he have an actual copy or a burnt iso....alot of the gaming companies are moving on to programs like safedisc which are nasty and really difficult to hack....or maybe it just doesnt support 64bit which doesnt make sense.

Check out <A HREF="http://www.3dvelocity.com/articles/win64compatibility/win64softlist.htm" target="_new">This List</A>. Actually, tell your friend to bookmark it as it's kept up to date. COD:UO is not working with Win XP 64-bit.

Compatiblity seems lousy IMO. I have the trial for XP64-bit that came with my mobo, but I haven't even bothered trying it yet.

I have another computer in the same room. What I'm going to try is to uninstall UO on the other computer; get my HD and put it in the computer; reinstall it on MY HD; take it out and boot it up. Think it'll work?
