Need recommendation on motherboard.

Last response: in Motherboards

I'm putting together a budget gaming rig for World of Warcraft. I just want to be able to run WoW at a nice smooth 30+ framerate, even in large areas with lots of rendering.

That said, here's what I have so far. I'm hoping for some nice folks to help me out with a recommendation on a motherboard as well as recommendations/suggestions on any other parts I have here.

Please keep in mind I'm a newbie and this is the first rig I've ever attempted to put together.

My parts are listed below,

Thanks.

Power Supply:
Enermaxx 380 watt - http://maxcooler.stores.yahoo.net/noname76.html

Video Card:
BFG GeForce 7900 GT PCI-E - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/ite...

Processor:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Socket 939 - http://www.directron.com/ada3200bibox.html

Case:
Cooler Master Centurion C5 - http://www.ipcrepublic.com/cooler_master_computer_case_...

Heat Sink:
Thermalright XP-90 - http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/thxpforforin.html

Fan:
Panaflo 92mm - http://www.jab-tech.com/product.php?productid=2608

Thermal Paste:
Arctic Silver - http://www.frozencpu.com/thr-02

Why would you buy a socket 939 system, thats not upgradeable, when you can go AM2 with DDR2-800 for less money and be ready for the next generation of x2's??

Since you are shopping various sites for deals and choosing moderate $ components I will assume:
1) Budget is important.
2) No extra $ spent for SLI mobo or for OC freindly memory.
3) You want/need newbie friendly parts and support.

Ditch the Thermalright/Panaflo/Arctic and use the stock HSF. It works great and is not loud.

Buy the CPU from NewEgg for $112 instead of $146.
AMD 3200+ 939 Venice Box $112+0 6/06

Buy an Asus motherboard. They (and their customers on their forum) offer great support, frequent BIOS and chipset driver updates, and excellent build quality. For you Asus is worth a few extra $.

Asus A8N-E 939 nF4 Ultra $94+7 6/06

Get a more powerful PSU than the Enermax. At a minimum:

FSP AX450-PN 450watt 12v:2x18a PSU 20+4pin $51+7 3/06

Also, 2GB of memory is a good buy today. Value RAM works fine but almost anything will work. Avoid RAM that needs more than 2.6volts just to run. I like Corsair XMS but the options are great and there is no right/wrong choice here.
