Hey,

I have a moniter than has a D-Sub interface, and I want to get a new video card. Do I need to get one that has 1 dsub and 1 dvi, or can I get one that has 2xdvi and use the adapter that comes with it to switch it?

I was shopping for video cards under the impression that I can't convert it, so I was looking for cards with 1xdvi and 1xd-sub, but I Was thinking maybe that isn't true and I can still use 2xdvi's

thanks

so for sure if i buy a video card with 2xDVI, I can still plug in my d-sub moniter?

will it act as a dvi or d-sub?

It will work and it will 'act like' standard vga/db-15 because it will get no feedback information on it's pins, so no desktop control of monitor functions and no auto configure, but that would be the same as just having a DB-15 connector anyways.
