I've got a Samsung i700, with one SD slot. With all three cards I've
used in that slot (Socket SDIO Wifi card, Sandisk 512MB memory card and
(most used) Sandisk 128MB/Wifi Card) I've noticed that after a few power
cycles, the slot appears to lose power - i.e. on a wireless card, the
light stays out, and for memory cards the card is simply no longer
accessible. Sometimes eject/reinsert brings the card back to life, but
more often than not it takes a soft reset to get it active again.
It seems that after a few power cycles (sometimes 10, sometimes as few
as 1) it just loses interest in the slot, no matter what's in there.
Doesn't seem to matter if it's on the docking cradle or not (so it's not
just a battery thing). Since it's a PDA, it goes through a LOT of power
cycles - kinda annoying!
Any ideas, suggestions, fixes? TIA!

I've heard of issues with digital cameras using SD/MM cards that have been
sorted by slightly thickening the card- sticking sellotape onto it- that
increases contact pressure. I've not tried it, and it is entirely at your
own risk if you try it.
