am2 question

im currently building a brand new system and i am going with the am2 seeing as it will lead for better upgrade options in the future. I wanted to get a CPU fan or water cooling but i can never find a am2 comptable one. but iv heard am2=940 but i wasnt sure. Was looking for some comfromation on that. thanks!

Well yes am2 is equal to 940 in pins but the placement is much different and the mounting mechanism on am2 is 2 screw but on 754,939,and 940 is 4 screw so you cant use the same watercooling.

The AM2 coolers are excellent. Just stay with that for now. Over the next weeks more cooling solutions will be out for the socket.
