There is a long date format you can set on the ppc, but the UK one is
limited in that you can only have Date, Month, Year and not the Day as you
can in other regions of the World. We do actually use days too, so I don't
know why MS decided we can't set it to show the day as standard. Has anyone
seen a way to edit the registry or other way to set the PPC which will allow
the ppc to display Day Date Month and Year for the UK regional setting? I
don't really want to set a different region and set UK time as this may
affect synchronising with the PC which has UK settings.

What about the soft keyboard? I've set my PocketPC to UK, and the
softkeyboard still has the stupid # key in the place of the £. It's still
an american keyboard even when set to UK. :-(

This might help - it's an extract from an old newsgroup
message - I set my PPC date format on my 2210 this way and it
works fine - be careful of editing your registry etc.etc.:
Edit/Add the following registry key \HKLM\nls\overrides\
New String Value
Value Name: "SLDte"
Value Data: "dddd dd MMMM yyyy" (or as your require for your
date format).

I'll give that a try in a few days time, but Brian Pepin (the software guy
for the program) replied with the following:

Calendar+ uses the long date format that is programmed into your Pocket PC
for your region. You can change this format by going into the Regional
Settings screen in the control panel. For some absolutely bizarre reason,
the UK does not have a long date format that includes the day. As a work
around you can choose a different region and then fix the date, time and
money values in that region to match what you're used to in the OK.

After looking at the options I have set it to English (Australian), and
adjusted a few things like the currency symbol. The time is still UK (Clock)
time so it seems to work ok. I must admit I hadn't tried it because I had
thought it would mess my time up, but all seems ok.
Thanks to Brian, and for your suggestion too. Hopefully this may help
others.
