Safe OC idle operating temps for AMD Athlon X2 4400+

I was just wondering if anyone had OC'd a 4400+ and how far. I dont want to ruin my brand new cpu. Was wanting to know same operating temps for it.

I have the nearly identical Opteron 175 and anything below 49C is safe imo... actually can take a good bit higher, but I do not advise it...

I run mine at 11x236MHz using 1.475 volts... temps top out at 45C on mine...

Sounds good! 49c sounds pretty reasonable. BTW, what kind of core does that Opteron have in it? Is it the toledo or maybe the manchester? Maybe somethin else?

Idle temp does'nt mean much but any full load temp under 55C is absolutely acceptable, 55 to 60C would get me worried though.

I 've heard that its possible to OC the toledo core to the speed and such as an FX 60. I have no idea what difference ther is between an FX and an Athlon is though...besides price of course. Do you know about that at all?

The FX60 is basically the same core with unlocked multipliers.
