Compaq nx9010 laptop, after connecting at home with Dial-Up when the laptop
comes back to work and plugs into the network cable it still wants to dial
into the dial-up ISP. Network connection is GOOD and after hitting
work-offline and connect a few times it will see the high speed connection
but will still go back to trying to dial out.

thanks for any help!

Internet Options> Connections.
If there is an item for the dial up and the high speed connection here,
choose one as your default. Use Network Connections> item for the
alternative ISP (you can send this connection to the desktop as a shortcut
if that make it easier to get to).

If the high speed connection is wireless, check the Never Dial button in
Internet Options> Connections. It will pop up in the system tray whenever
you're within range at work.
