I know we are close to the release of the conroe and amd price cuts but I have been waiting a while to build a new computer. This is what I came up with and later on I am going to upgrade with the release of revision G or K8L.

Also im going to be getting dvd/cd drives and a lcd monitor but that isnt as important as the computer. I will be overclocking and so it should last me for a bit and also I know the price cuts are coming but for the single cores they are already here. So I won't be losing out and a single core should be enough for me. Just post your thoughts...

Looks good to me, but can't you wait 5 1/2 weeks to build your system to take advantage of AMD's price cuts?

Conroe looks very promising, but I'm sure you already know that.

Looks great amigo. Only suggestion I have is to go with this model Western digital instead. The RE series has a 5 year warranty versus the SE's 3 years.

Also there are a lot of nice Antec cases that are much cheaper than that model that are just as nice. $130 is a lot for a case with no ps. but thats your call. I also recommend BenQ lcd monitors. I own one and they are very nice.

yea im looking at the BenQ FP93GX Black 19" 2ms lcd monitor and it seems like a pretty good deal. So I may get that over the 2ms viewsonic considering its like 50 dollars cheaper.

I have the FP93G 6ms, I love it. No problems in gaming whatsoever. Crisp and sharp.

I wouldnt get the superclocked version of the 7900GT, it has been known to hava a tendency to throttle back when under a heavy load(It just gets too hot).

so I guess the non superclocked KO version would be a better buy.
