well i was looking for a new cpu, i mostly just play games, but i also do other stuff on my pc, and i've been looking at prices, the 3800 venice costs 150 on newegg, and the x2 3800 costs 297, so should i go for the x2 or use that extra money and get a zalman fan and maybe overclock the 3800? or put it towards a better video card? :!:

If you're on a tight budget and don't care much about multithreaded apps and multitasking, spend the 150$ on a better video card.

While I love my X2 for its silk smooth performance, the primary reason why I bought it was to run two F@H clients and to cut down on media encoding time.

Their price cuts are happening in two stages, they just cut the single core CPUs' prices, and the dual cores' prices will drop around July 24th. With Intel's price cuts in effect, this is a sweet time to be an enthusiast >;o)
