Hi everyone,

please bear with me i'm relative newbie when it comes to this but i am looking to convert a secondary pc into a media center pc. this is what i'm working with

p4 3.0 ghz
512 ddr ram
200 gig hdd
standard s-video input television

my question is in regards to the ATI AIW X800 XT and its compatiblity with Windows Media Center 2005. from what i have read, (i believe from this site) is that ATI cards are not microsoft certified and thus could cause problems installing and recognizing the tv tuner. Has anyone tried installing this specific card with media center 2005? did you have any problems. am i overthinking the situation? how do you find the card's performance in with media center? thanks in advance.

The card works fine in MCE thanks to newer, laggier drivers. The lag is caused by channel buffering, which was the requirement ATI needed to comply with.
