Windows 7 ultimate resolution troubleshoot

Hello,i have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and 19 inch lcd. it only allows me to go as high as 1024x768
thats the problem, help?

Drivers updated from the vendor for the video card?

Even for a low end 19" LCD yes. I don't remember ever seeing a 19" LCD with 1024 native resolution.

Oh, something else you may try. If you replaced the monitor and did not reboot, I have seen Windows leave the max resolution for the old monitor. Reboot if yo udid not.

It would help if you could tell us the make and model of your LCD screen, as well as that of the video card in your system.

i was able to install the intel gma driver for the graphics card and problem resolved
