Hi guys

I was messing around my comp one day and I realized my CDRW tray was opened a little bit.. tried opening it by pressing on the button but it wouldn't do anything.. I then tried to put a pin the emergency hole.. no luck.. it wouldn't matter how hard I would press down.. it wouldn't move

is there anything else I can do??

push it back in as hard as possible, and use a knife as a lever
to eject the tray while you have injected the paperclip in the small hole.
if that doesn't work you have to dissasemble your CD-RW

@Waylander What if he has a CD in there that he needs? :p

Yah they're pretty easy to disassemble (and reassemble) had to do this more than once. Worked fine after I put it back together so...

After having to swap a motor and laser assembly between two dell laptop drives (same models of course) ripping into a full size one is childs play!

Does the drive even power up? Might just be a ripped rail.
