Conroe mobo compatiblity?

yes. Revision 304 of the Intel D975XBX, as well as any board using a 965 series chipset.

I payed $235 for the Asus P5W DH Deluxe, now newegg lists it for $260.

Does anyone know if there will be any sub $100 Conroe compatible boards released around the time of the Conroe release (about a month after the realase, max)? I want to get a E6300 but if the motherboards don't come down in price, it somewhat ruins the economical aspect of getting a Core2Duo.

Cool. Not a motherboard I would buy (only 2GB max mem, no 3gb/s SATA support) but it's good to see there's some options. How do you know it'll work with Conroe?
