So my college campus requires IE8 to get online the first you get online. And so I got on the wifi network, but after that, deleted IE8. However, I want to get on ethernet, and so I need it back. But microsoft doesn't have the W7 download on their website, and whenever I try to install any of the other versions it just pops up saying "This isn't compatible". Is there a way to re-download it?
internet explorer is built into windows. How did you manage to remove it? Try typing web pages into the search bar in vista/windows 7 or run in windows xp.
Apparently there is no stand alone download for IE8 applicable to Windows 7. Vista offers a stand alone IE8 download. May have to settle for a reinstallation of Windows 7.

Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off.
Just select Internet Explorer 8 and press OK.
OP uninstalled IE8. IE8 is no longer available to be turned on.

Yeah, good question. Windows 7 has a completely integrated IE8? No stand alone download for IE8 in Windows 7? Like Media Player in Vista. I hate that.
