I'm using StreamBox and NetTransport to download RealVideo from:
http://www.3sat.de/neues/service/72191/index.html
(e.g. rtsp://Kermit.sda.t-online.de/3sat/neues/neues_041023_cum.rm )
I've tried with many different settings to download the file. My PPC
RealPlayer simply stuck in Loading and can't play the file. It's working
fine on my desktop RealPlayer. I've got some other RM-files which are
running fine on PPC.

Questions:
1) Does the PPC player only play very limited RealVideo versions?
2) Is there other softwares which work like VCR and save the file in other
format?
3) I've got a capture card on my PC. Is it possible to capture RealVideo
streaming?

Since I'm doing this on regular basis, I want to avoid to download it and
then convert it, it might end up with more than 2x of the video runtime.

thanks
Phuoc Can HUA

The answer to question 1 is Yes, it only plays some files...

If you have access to the data (for example a TV tuner card) you can use
Windows Media Encoder to capture a stream and save as a WMV file...

Sorry, what do you mean by that?
Does Windows Media Encoder comes with XP?

One of the questions was about capturing audio/video, so I'm just suggesting
that Windows Media Encoder could be used.

Windows Media Encoder is a free download from
www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia. With it you can capture audio (wma) or video
(wmv) and store in a file or stream directly to a network. Windows Media
player on your Pocket PC can play wmv files.
