Ram and hard drive

I do music production and i use my laptop ....I have a duo core amd ...with 3 gigs of ram and my hard drive speed is a 5400 rms ....i need more speed

I think you will simply have to add a faster drive . You could look into a external drive.

Well a faster hard drive will help in loading & storing, but won't help at all in computing. What application are you running and what part of the process is too slow?
