I just installed WIN2k and I want to know if I have DMA enabled for my drives. Also how do you enable it with this os?

Thanks.

Go to Control Panel, then device manager.
Click on the IDE controller for your hard drive, not the drive itself.
Go to the advanced properties for the controller and it will tell you what transfer mode you’re in. If you have a drive that supports DMA and a controller that does, it usually is DMA mode by default. If not, the motherboard’s chipset drivers may not be installed properly, and is probably running off of default Windows drivers.

- I got a board too: http://www.impactsites2000.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi
