Trying to install a couple of programs into a new iPAQ 6300.

I installed Mobipocket reader, and that worked fine. However it still shows
up in the Add/Remove program box every time I try to install something else,
even though it's already installed.Whatever I'm actually trying to install
is not there.

I purchased Pocket Earth 3.2 for Pocket PC. When I run the installer,
everything seems to work properly, but the program does not show up in the
Add/Remove programs box for installation into the iPAQ. Just the previously
installed Mobipocket.

I purchased Worldmate as well and the same thing happens. The install
program seems to do everything it should, but all that shows in the
Add/Remove is Mobipocket.

What's up?

Thanx.

Some items don't show in the ppc installer, there may be a PC uninstall
routine. Examples include Handmarks Scrabble, Softmakers planmaker and
textmaker, and plenty more. Look at your PC's menus.

You DO have the iPaq connected during the install and ActiveSync is
seeing it? If you don't it's supposed to do the install the next time
you connect but some custom installers may not do that.

As designed. Note the check boxes. You can remove applications from
the ppc side also. When you do that the check box gets unchecked. You
can REINSTALL the app just by re-checking the box. Or you can fully
remove it by highlighting the app and selecting remove.
