Hello All,

I need your help / recommendation in building a powerful workhorse based on Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor which also give me the room for future growth i.e. Windows Vista, etc. The system will be used for Multimedia Applications, i.e. Video Editing (High End Home User), making DVDs, Web Designing, etc. in addition to the regular stuff.

Moreover, I also want to fully utilize my existing components in that system which are listed below (primarily the storage devices)

Westeren Digital Hard Disks (2) IDE 120 GB Each
Seagate SCSI Hard Disk with Adaptech SCSI Card (PCI)
Seagate SATA 120 GB
Samsung SATA 200GB
Samsung CD writer as I have external DVD writer (USB 2.0)
Floppy Drive
Pinnacle IEEE 1394 PCI Card
Sound Blaster Audigy PCI Card
ATI Radeon Graphics Adapter (I have both PCI Express and AGP 8X, however, I like the AGP more for no reason)
ANTEC Casing and Power Supply (500 Watts) compatible with newer boards as I am presently using Intel 945 GNT with it.

I will appreciate if you kinldly recommend me a powerful but stable motherboard aling with memory (make and model) so I can build my system accordingly.

Your recommendations in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Keep as much of your old stuff as you can

If you go AMD you can keep your ram because all the dual core intels need DDR2
