As I understand this "refresh rate" thing, it is essentially the number of time the picture my eyeballs are actually looking at gets repainted, per second.
For example, just about all LCDs refresh at 60 times per second (a few do 72 or 75), I have a big CRT that is set for 100 hz for serious coding...
Here is my question...
When I am playing a game, and the video card does say 150 frames per second, what good does it do me if my monitor is only getting redrawn every 1/60th or a second...? - Can see why you want your MINIMUM frame rates to stay at or above the monitor refresh rate, but above that rate, what good does it do?
