Help With HP 2110 All-in-one

HP tech support has not been able to help me. Maybe someone in this forum
can.
When a Word document has an envelope attached to it, the document prints
with text skewed. It is as if it were in two columns, with the right half of
the page repeating what is on the left half of the page. The envelope will
print fine if I select "s1" in the Ctrl+P dialog.
I tried installing "generic" drivers (as suggested by HP techs) but that did
not make any difference.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled the HP drivers from the CD.
The only workaround I've found is to delete the envelope, print the
document, then close the document without saving.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Any suggestions as to cause and cure?
