Ok this is what I need help with. I am looking for a decent video card to replace my current very old and very outdated 5200fx. This is just a temp. replacement while i save up for 2 x1900's. Is there anything good retail or OEM for $200 or less.

OK, what motherboard do you have? If it's a Crossfire-capable motherboard, why were you using an FX 5200? Is the card AGP or PCI?

A GeForce 7600 GT will provide plenty of performance, it's a little better than a 6800 GT and is in the same class as an X1800GTO. It's a little cheaper at around $160 US.

It seems you're running AGP, so something like a X800GTO, X800XL or 6800GS are your best options in your price range. If you have PCI-E, then a 7600GT or X850XT would be best options.

Alright thanks. and I'm using PCI-e. i was in the middle of a heuge overhaul when money ran out and the only part i havent upgraded yet was my video card. im running it on the pci bus and it sucks. My mobo is on the 975x chipset and am planning to do crossfire.
