durability or cheap color laser brands

My, my a Konica color laser for $299. No doubt it costs more than that
to replace the carts when they run out. But will the printer make it to
the point of needing them in office use?

When I ask about inexpensive lasers at office supply stores the work
usually is that brands like Konica and Brother start our cheap and last
about a year. True?
