My brother works in IT as an intern at a trading group where he can get something like a 45% discount on IBM computers. Would you guys recommend him getting the best IBM M-Series (3.0 Dual Core and on and on) that is worth about $1200 but at a price of about $800? Or do you recommend him just making the computer from scratch?
Oh, you guys might be interested to know that millions of dollars go through his trading group, and since they can always get the best equipment, he can get lots of free stuff. He brought home lots of RAM and 1 or 2 video cards. He is planning to bring a monitor and a HP desktop with two 1.0 Ghz processors. I am not trying to brag, but I thought some of you might be interested - especially the younger crowd still in high school.
