I just bought a new Antec True Power 2.0 550W today (a 120mm fan), and it's so hot. It raise the my whole system termperature up (about 5 degree_, I think the powersupply itself is higher than 50 or 60 degree.

Is that normal? cuz my old enermax 370w is not as hot as this one. It makes my CPU's temperatrue runs like 52-55 degree at idle, and 60-65 when full loads. Man, I am using Zelman CNS 9500 LED, it supposed to cool the CPU down to 40 smoething degree, and beofer i install the powersupply, the CPU's termperature is around 47-50 at idel and 55-58 a full load.

But the weather is getting hot this week, so I am not sure if it's the powersupply's problem or my room temperature's problem?

can anyone help me to slove it?

My CPU is Pentium 4 630 3.0 GHz and video card is x1900 aiw.

I get game crashed when I used my old powersupply, it just kicked me out to the windows, so I think it's either video card overheat or power is not enough. cuz i read the ati.com, it recommends x1900 aiw equips with 450W at least

I've got a 600w silverstone, the modular one, and it doesn't even get warm to the touch. If you have proper airflow the ps might blow warm air but the unit should never get hot or even warmer than the ambient air on its skin. Unless of course it's under full stress for a long time, then it should get a little warm. Less than 10 degrees higher than ambient though.

Sorry, missed that part, 3 fans is fine, but that cfm is LOW (edit: I just looked at the link, it's 32cfm each, that is more than enough, I'd say there is an obstruction or the fans are running off the 5v instead of the 12v), I have 2 80's, a 90 and the 120 in the ps, the 2 80's and 90 are EACH rated at 30 cfm!

Not very loud either, my Pioneer receiver has 2 little 40mm fans that are worse.

thats fine????!?!?!

i mean if he used his mouth to suck air out of the PC every minute it would be more effective.

32 cfm is like me breathing.

80cfm per fan is crazy, unless you have a crapload of stuff in a desktop case. I've never needed more than 4 system fans at MOST. My newest rig, 2 hd's athon 3700, 2 gig ocz oc'd, 500watt ps, x1800xt oc'd, all with 2 120's in the case and an 80 on the psu and a stock cpu cooler. NEVER gets warmer than ambient temps, course it's in a stacker 830. Oh yeah, I run the 120's off the 5v so they do less than half the rated 77cfm.

yeah, the termperature is not as hot as last nite.
I think the powersupply is alrite, although it does raise the systerm termperature a little bit, but at least I wont get any game crash when I play games.
