Hi, I'm new to the THG Forumz and I just want to know if you guys have any suggestions on my build. All suggestions are welcome:
Graphics: Radeon X1900XT 512MB PCI-E
HDD: Western Digital Raptor 150GB 10000rpm Serial-ATA 16MB
Memory: 2 x Samsung 512MB DDR2, PC5300, 667MHz
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 64-bit, AM2
Mobo: Asus M2N-E, Socket AM2, ATX, Nvidia nForce 570 Ultra
CPU HSF: Zalman CNPS9500-AM2
I already have a nice cool case, a 530w Tagan EasyCon, a 200gb Maxtor sata drive, floppy, DVD burner and all that, I didn't forget.
The memory is the best I can get here in Sweden so I can't do much about it.
I wonder if you guys know when the AMD X2 price-cuts are due and when DirectX10 graphic cards are comming.
I wonder if the Raptor drive will make less of a need to have 2 gigs of ram.
Also, I heard that a Zalman vf900 is not good for not well ventilated cases but my case has a Blowhole with a 120mm fan (exaust) along with a 80mm sidefan centered on the side of the case (intake) and a 80mm rear fan (intake), I also have a pci exastor. So it should work way better than the stock cooler right?
