It's not so simple to answer that question. What are the clock speeds of the 6800XT? They vary so much with 325MHz, 350MHz, and even 425MHz core speeds and memory from 600, 700, 900 and 1000 DDR. If it's a 350/1000 card, I'd put it ahead of the X1600 pro the majority of the time. If it's one with the slower 600-700 memory, then I'd put the X1600 pro ahead. If it's clocked 425/1000 like the Galaxy 6800XT, then it easily is the winner.
Quote from this Galaxy 6800XT review: "The generic consensus however is this: the XT has 8 pixel and 4 vertex pipelines, the chip "should" be clocked at 325MHz, whereas memory should operate at 700MHz. These are the reference specificationd. Manufacturers have been granted the strength called freedom though. The XT we test today is clocked at a Core clock of 425 MHz and a Memory clock : 500 MHz (1000M Hz effectively) with 256MB 256-bit DDR3 1.6ns memory. Keep that "1.6ns" in mind would ya ?"
I personally like nvidia based cards(1 out of 4 ati cards i had didnt overheat on me, yes i did have a hefty PSU wattage) but the x1600PRO is overall a better choice, more pipelines too.
