I have managed to get a/c to show as ai in FS2004, but when i try to make
flight plans with ttools they dont work.
I give the a/c a number i dont have in the ttools, then create a plan
normally i check by inserting the new a/c in place of an old one that works
as traffic, when i go to fs there are no a/c on the ramps.

That could be due to many reasons.

When you replaced an existing acft in the default Aircraft030528.txt
file, or whatever you decided to name it, you need to use the entire
description from the Title= line in the respective aircraft.cfg file.

Would the original acft have appeared at the airport where you looked
for it.

Is the replacement acft similar to the one it replaced? I.e.: if you
decided to replace an original Cessna with a B777, then it may not
fit in available parking slots at the airport the Cessna was scheduled
to be at.

The flightplan timings may also be messed up - i.e.: a slower
replacement acft may not be able to keep up with the departure times
given for the original.

Etc, etc, ... you get the picture ;-)

Recommend installing a freeware util AI Traffic Manager. It will make
editing plans so much easier.
