Hi all,

I'm in the process of buying a new video card and am stuck in between 3 cards.. Prices are from simline.com.au, Perth, WA. i like their pictures.

Gigabyte GV-NX76G256D-RH GeForce 7600GS 256MB PCI-Express Graphics Card $253.00
or
ASUS EN7600GS SILENT/HTD GeForce 7600 512MB PCI-Express Graphics Card With TV-Out & DVI $251.90
or
ASUS EN7600GS SILENT/HTD GeForce 7600 256MB PCI-Express Graphics Card With TV-Out & DVI $225.50

I'm after a silent PC so i've opted for the cards with passive cooling.. The only real hard decision here is which cooling solution from which manufacturer is better? ASUS or Gigabyte. I've read the review on THG on Gigabyte's Silent-Pipe but can't find one for ASUS's one let alone a direct-comparison for the two.
And lastly, the last two cards only differ in the memory they have.. the obvious choice would be to go for the 512MB card but there have been some cases where the 256MB versions run 'better' than their 512MB versions.

Hope someone can help!!

Thanks in advance!!

Dont go for the 512mb version of this card, it can't utilize all 512mb of vram. Just go for the cheapest 256 u can find, they all perform the same.

Alright!! Thanks!

But do you think there are any significant differences between the two passive cooling technologies?
