Ive been pondering the idea of SLI on my system and only see real world benefits when you use insane resolutions above 1600x1200... What lcds or crts support over 2000x1500(example) resolutions? Give me a link please..And when going that high in resolution everything gets smaller so you have to get a big screen right?

Look at this lcd..big fast but its resolution goes only to like 1366 by whatever

thats more of a TV not a monitor, you dont want that, there are a very few monitors that run over 1600x1200 resolution , i'll list a few and you can take your pick...

well actually here is a list of montiors that can run 1900x1200 or above

o would recommend this Dell 24" one

otherwise if you want to go over that resolution you'll have look at either these two 30" ones,
they both run at 2560x1600 which is the best resolution you'll see unless you go to insane products with very limited availability
Dell 3007WFP

or
Apple 30" Cinema HD

from those two its really hard to pick but i might say the Apple is better
if thats too high priced for you get the 24" Dell
