I'm going to build a new system (major upgrades) and a new water-cooling system to go with it.

Perviously I built a home-made external cooling system and it was, to say the least, bulky - although it did have good performance and was silent aside from teh slight vibration of the pump.

Anyways, I still want to go with an external cooling system because I prefer having smaller cases. So, this time I'm going to go with the Exos-2. (By the way, does anyone have it? Can you comment on how noisy it is at the lower speed settings? Thanks)

However, I am going to buy my own waterblocks. I'm going to go with Dangerden CPU, GPU, and chipset blocks, but I'm wondering what I should get for my HDs?

By the way, Im going to get an Athlon X2 (and overclock), possibly a GeForce 7900 GT (Anyone tried overclocking these with watercooling? What results did you get?), and a Raptor (for the OS) and a Barracuda for data.

So, what is a good HDD cooler?

That's funny because you are going to take a mid size case and slap something on top of it that makes it the same size as a full size case.

If you really want to keep the same size then get an "internal" system and just have your radiator outside at the back like with the swiftech system.

Yes, well atleast the inside of the case won't get all jumbled up. I'm really afraid of doing an internal system. Too much junk you have to squeeze in different places... Honestly, I'm scared, and an external system is easier.

Im going to get a LianLi V1000B case and I've yet to see any good examples of how to rig up an internal system... If you happen to have any links please let me know.

I think that your case would actually make it easier. Reservoir in one of the 5.25 bays, put your pump in the space for one of the 3.5 hard drive bays, reservoir outside attached to the back of the case (installed upside down with inlet and outlet at the bottom), and your cpu (gpu if you want) water blocks.

Basically the route would be reservoir > pump > radiator > cpu water block > reservoir.

You may have to dremel a couple of holes but it's worth it and nothing beats the custom look compared to having a huge box strapped to the top of your case.

On the other hand if you aren't up to modding your case then maybe it's better to get a exos.
