well if you're running a 32bit os theres no point in going over 2gb since only 2gb can be assigned to 1 program, unless of course you're a professional and needs 4gb, but in that case, a motherboard like this wouldn't even be considered.
Forgive me if this next inquiry has been discussed elsewhere, but what is about the mobo that restricts the amount of RAM it can utilize? If you put 4 sticks of 1gb in the mobo referenced in this thread, what would happen? Would it not work, fry, or just use 2gb and the other 2 would be wasted?
well considering that asus mobos for intel chips that have 2 ddr2 and ddr slots only work with 1 standard at a time and cannot be mixed, this one is probably the same. 2 gb max i think
Are there mobo benchmarks? If you have 2 conroe systems with the same CPU (say e6600), same RAM, etc. but one on this mobo and one on a Broadwater mobo what and where is the difference?
